Lewisburg, Pa- Zumba, the latest fitness craze, is coming to the Donald L. Heiter Center in Lewisburg. Starting September 7th, individuals of all ages can participate in what certified Zumba Instructor Misty Rozyckie describes as a "fitness party that uses Latin inspired music and, easy to follow dance moves to get your body moving."
Classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 pm and on Saturday mornings from 9 to 10 am. There will be no classes October 5 & 21 and November 23 & 25.
The hour long workout session is a "great workout but doesn’t feel like a workout because you are dancing to great music, and it’s so much fun!" says Rozyckie.
The age for doing a Zumba class is 14 and above and Rozyckie says that people of all shapes and sizes can do Zumba and that people don’t have to already be in shape to do it.
Andrea Tufo, Executive Director of the Heiter Center located at 100 North Fifth Street in Lewisburg, said "we are very excited about adding Zumba to our program offerings at the center. Zumba is the big craze right now and we are so excited."
Tufo said that the classes are being offered at a cost of $6.00 per class and there is a special discount offer of buy 10 classes and get one free. Tufo also said that there will be a student discount of $200 for the entire semester, a $64 savings.
