Tickets Still Available for Heiter Center’s 12th Annual Chocolate Lover’s Festival February 6th

Lewisburg, Pa – Tickets are still available for the 12th Annual Chocolate Lover’s Festival February 6th. Seating for the popular winter festival is limited to 180 in the ballroom of the Lewisburg Hotel on Saturday evening from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. It is the largest fund raiser of the year for the Donald L. Heiter Community Center in Lewisburg and will be emceed by local singer/songwriter Billy Kelly who frequently performs as Earl Pickens.

The Chocolate Lover’s Festival features an Amateur Chocolate Competition, Professional Dessert Display, raffle, appetizers, cash bar, music and “all you can eat chocolate.” In addition, this year will feature a live auction where attendees can bid on prizes such as cooking lessons at Reba and Pauncho’s, a framed David Armstrong Print, a foursome of golf at Huntsville Golf Club, two tickets to the Weis Center for the performing arts 2010-11 season, 4 Cakes from Catherman’s Home Made Candy, 2 season tickets to Bucknell men’s basketball, a one night stay at the Inn at Hickory Run in White Haven and a catered gourmet homemade Pizza Party.

Tickets can only be purchased online at www.donaldheiter.org. To accommodate those couples with young children, the Heiter Center, located just a couple of blocks away from the Lewisburg Hotel at 100 N. 5th Street, is having a “Cocoa Fest”, the chocolate festival for kids ages 5 – 13, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Chocolate Festival tickets for adults are $25.00 and the Cocoa Fest tickets are $5.00 for kids ages 5-13 with the purchase of an adult Chocolate Festival ticket and $10.00 without the purchase of an adult ticket.

Raffle Tickets are also available at a cost of $10.00 each or three for $25.00. Raffle ticket holders need not be present to win one of the many wonderful prizes that have been donated. Raffle ticket prizes include an 18 inch Strand of Chocolate Pearls with a 14K clasp and matching earrings, a $500 Cash Prize, Two Pittsburgh Steelers game tickets, a 22 inch Toshiba LCD High Definition Wide Screen TV and DVD combination, and a Giant Boulder SE Mountain Bike. All proceeds benefit the Sponsor-A-Smile fund, helping local children afford quality after school and summer child care. The Donald Heiter Community Center served 4500 individuals last year through its various programs that reach out to individuals in a five county area and a population base well in excess of 30,000 people. The popular after school program serves between 88 and 111 children ages 5 to 13 in addition to adult classes, summer day camp and annual programs such as “Yellow Dress”.
