PROGRAMS AT THE CENTER

  JANUARY PROGRAMS  
Martin Luther King Day Celebration
We have a celebration to honor Martin Luther King Jr. The community is invited to this event. We have snacks and drinks. We work with two other groups, the Community Alliance for Respect and Equality and the Citizen's Committee on Diversity. Time is from 4:30pm to 9:00pm.
  FEBRUARY PROGRAMS  
Chocolate Festival
This is our biggest fundraiser of the year: All-you-can-eat chocolate to help a great cause! We hold this event at the Street Shops on the first Saturday in February. Time is from 7pm to 10pm. The cost is $15.00 per adult.
  MARCH PROGRAMS  
Spring Fling
When was the last time you guessed how many jelly beans are in the jar? Or hunted for Easter eggs? Or were in a relay race? Come on along to join in the fun at Spring Fling! There are lots of games and snacks. Time is from 4:30 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. Cost: FREE
  APRIL PROGRAMS  
Arts Festival
We have a stand at the park with children's games. The games run from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
Volunteer Recognition Dinner
This event is held to thank all the volunteers that help us out throughout the year.
  JUNE PROGRAMS  
Summer Day Camp
This is a nine-week camp to provide childcare for parents during the summer months. We provide lunch and snacks. We go on trips every Friday. We also go to the pool two times a week and go to the park. The kids play in the gym, do crafts, and have free time. We also participate in the Fourth of July parade. This program is for ages 5 to 13. Time is from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
  SEPTEMBER PROGRAMS  
After school study hour
Starts at 3:30 and ends at 4:30 p.m. for ages 5 to 17. The cost is only $4 per child per day and is available to youth ages 5-17. Upon arrival, they sit down and begin their homework or work on any projects that they might have. Assistance is available from local college students and retired teachers. We also provided supplies and snacks. The fee also includes other structured games, fun activities, beverages and snacks up until 7:00 p.m.
Badminton
A group of adults meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Cost: $2.00 per day per person.
Boys Group
Held Tuesdays from 7 to 8 PM. Free of Charge. For boys ages 7 to 13.
Girls Group
Held Thursdays from 7 to 8 PM. Free of Charge. For girls ages 7 to 13.
Fencing
"West Branch Fencers" meets in the gym on Monday and Wednesday nights from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Equipment Provided! Cost: $5.00 per day. Pre-registration required
Fall Fling
A kickoff celebration for the fall on the fourth Tuesday of September. Approximately 25 to 30 kids. We have games, prizes, crafts and snacks.
Kicks for Women

We take the kids out as a group to the homes of people that the staff knows for a safe night of trick or treating
Halloween Party
A safe place to go on Halloween. We have games, activities, prizes and costume and pumpkin decorating contests. Time is 4:30pm to 6:30 pm for ages 5-13
Jr. Einsteins
Begins Oct. 19, 2006. 8 Sessions. Total Cost: $32 per child. For Children in grades 1-3. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 10 children.

  DECEMBER PROGRAMS  
Victorian Parade
Children from our youth groups participate in the parade. This is a chance for our kids to offer community service while allowing the community to see us. The parade is held the first Saturday in December from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
Winter Festival
The kids play various games and then have snacks and watch a movie. Time is from 4:30pm to 6:30pm
Winter Camp
No school activity days. We are open to provide childcare for parents that don't have a babysitter on those days that the kids are off from school. We provide games, activities, crafts, snacks, etc. Time is from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
New Years Sleepover
We provide a safe place for kids to spend the night while their parents are out. We will have games, movies, snacks and breakfast. More...
Snow Festival
We take the kids to R.B. Winter where they get to ice skate, ice fish, play snow volley ball and broom ball and enjoy many other fun winter activities.
  ANNUAL PROGRAMS  
YELLOW DRESS:
A program that addresses dating violence and improving the quality of teenage relationships. This program serves five local schools each year and is conducted by volunteers.
ADULT RECREATION PROGRAM
This program offers recreation, social and supportive events and opportunities to families who live with developmentally disabled adults.
